Accessibility Statement

AccessoraX is committed to making accessorax.com usable by everyone.

Our commitment

AccessoraX provides accessibility audits and remediation for Shopify stores, so we hold our own website to the standard we test others against. We aim for continual improvement, and we treat any barrier a visitor reports as a defect to be fixed.

Standards

We measure this website against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA. WCAG 2.2 AA includes WCAG 2.1 AA, the level referenced by EN 301 549 under the European Accessibility Act and commonly used as the benchmark in Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) cases.

Conformance status

This website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Partially conformant means that most content meets the standard and some parts, listed under known limitations below, do not yet fully meet it.

Accessibility features

  • A skip link, a single main landmark and consistent header and footer landmarks on every page.
  • A logical heading structure, with no skipped levels.
  • Text alternatives for informative images, and empty alternatives for decorative ones.
  • Text colour contrast of at least 4.5 to 1, and at least 3 to 1 for interface components.
  • A visible keyboard focus indicator on every interactive element.
  • Full keyboard operation of menus, forms, dialogs and the chat assistant, with focus managed when dialogs open and close.
  • Labelled form fields, with errors described in text.
  • Content that reflows to a 320 pixel wide screen without horizontal scrolling, and supports zoom to 400 percent.
  • Reduced motion for visitors who ask for it in their device settings.

How we test

Testing was carried out by AccessoraX on 8 October 2026 and is repeated after each significant change.

  • Automated testing with the axe-core rule set (WCAG 2.0, 2.1 and 2.2, levels A and AA) on all 49 pages, at desktop width and at 375 pixels wide.
  • Keyboard-only checks of navigation, forms and dialogs on the main templates.
  • Colour contrast measurement of text and components against rendered pages.
  • Reflow checks at 320 pixels wide.

Automated tools find only part of the issues that affect people. A structured screen reader review (NVDA and VoiceOver) of the key journeys is the next step and is not yet reflected in this statement. Our audit methodology describes the full process we use for client stores.

Known limitations

  • Sample report (PDF): the downloadable sample accessibility report is not yet a tagged PDF. We will send an accessible version on request.
  • Third-party services: the booking calendar (Calendly) and our form processor are operated by other companies. Every route that uses them has an email alternative.
  • Long image descriptions: some blog diagrams have long text alternatives that carry the chart data. We are moving the detail into visible text.
  • Screen reader review: not yet completed on every template, as described above.
